"You have often stood alone against the media who were often looking for the sensational headline. I have noticed an important change: the media now look out for and report very fairly and fully on the reports from the team."
Tributes from a Health Education Advisor to John Balding, presented at his retirement lunch, May 2005
We have upgraded our web server (Spring 2018) from Drupal version 6 to version 7, which we hope is all for the better, but some pages are no longer where they used to be or may have been removed. If you can't find what you want, try once of the search forms (top right) or get in touch directly.
This site is designed so that it can be viewed on a variety of browsers.
Tips for getting around
All pages have some key links on the right hand side; try the site map first to get a bird's eye view of the website.
Most pages have 'tags' at the bottom of the page; to find more pages on the same topic, just click on the tag. There is also a topic index for the website which lists all the tags.
If you can't find what you are looking for, try using the Google-based Search facility which is present on every other page, top right. There is an additional Drupal database search which might give better results, also top right (on this page only).
To be kept up-to-date with new stories and links on this website, you can subscribe to one or more of our RSS feeds.
In fact, each topic on this website has its own RSS feed.
Please note that we do not make copies of our questionnaires freely available on this site. If you are interested in using our surveys, please contact Angela Balding; if you want to use items from our questionnaires in your own work, please contact David Regis.
If you have a difficulty that can't be resolved by the advice on this page please contact us by filling in a feedback form.
