JSNA - the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
Get the perception and performance figures you need, about your young people.
The Coalition Government has placed the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment at the heart of its proposals with regard to the future of local health improvement. Since the establishment of the JSNA in 2008, SHEU have been providing local authorities with vital data about their young people to inform their planning.
We were asked to give some more detail for the House of Commons magazine (below) in November, and Jo Swinson asked a question about our work in the House of Commons chamber itself:
Professionals in Public Health, including Health and Wellbeing Boards, use our services to provide base-line data about
the health related behaviour of young people in their area. Often, in partnership with other agencies, results are used to inform
programme and service planning.
