Since 2000, SHEU has been developing services for FE & 6th Form Colleges.
A student paper-based and online survey instrument has been successfully trailed and piloted with colleges.
A free online survey was offered to colleges in 2007 and resulting data added to the confidential databank.
This unique resource holds information from students about their attitudes and lifestyle behaviours in relation to health.
This enables comparisons to be made across a range of questions.
Following your survey you have information about your students and comparative, anonymous data from students in your region or elsewhere.

ECM, SAR and JAR - Benefits to Colleges

• Useful to examine how your self-assessment compares to an external one
• Help to move your Healthy College project forward
• The data would help to formulate your action plan and help develop and implement your Every Child Matters (ECM) strategy
• Use the findings of the survey for further evidence for the ECM section of the SAR and to further support your contribution to the Joint Area Review
• Use the data to take into account the students as key stakeholders in the college's ECM framework and action plan
• Cross reference results to your plans and make refinements as required
• Beneficial to be able to benchmark with other organisations and the potential to share good practice
