Anna McConachie - Data Preparation Assistant




Anna has probably worked for the Unit longer than anyone, initially as a puncher (*2), and currently works alongside Di Bish to conduct the formidable range of tasks required to run the Data Preparation side of the Unit's work (the 'Engine Room').

(*1) Coding: turning young people's responses into numbers and looking for inconsistent responses. Most of our coders work from home.

(*2) Punching: typing numbers into the computer (from the days when punch cards were used)
